Senior Desktop Support Engineer – Top tier trading firm

In this role you will provide frontline technical support for users in automated trading environments, spanning a mixed Windows/Linux landscape. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor systems, troubleshoot in real-time, and ensure high availability in a 24/6 follow-the-sun setup. You’ll work with in-house proprietary systems and third-party apps, enabling smooth trading operations and support for a high-performance firm. • Provide technical support for users of automated trading environments (in-house and third-party apps)
• Monitor and troubleshoot a wide range of systems in real time
• Collaborate with Linux, Windows, Cybersecurity and Network teams
• Diagnose and resolve desktop, server and network issues with minimal downtime
• Manage Windows Desktop/Server OS, AD, and Group Policy in production environments
• Perform scripting, monitoring, and general administration tasks
• Maintain emphasis on high availability in a follow-the-sun model
• Assist with incident response and problem management in a high-demand environment

• Solid foundation in computer science and networking principles
• Experience in IT support, networking, programming, or system administration
• Knowledge of Windows Desktop/Server OS in production environments
• Working knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across desktop, server, and network layers
• Familiarity with Linux and PowerShell
• Strong communication skills and self-motivation
• Ability to manage projects independently
