Senior Developer

In this role, you will lead and support the development team in Manchester while maintaining and enhancing the Case Management System. You will design, implement, and test software across the production lifecycle and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to deliver improvements. You’ll shape bespoke applications and portals, leveraging PowerApps, .NET/C#, and T-SQL to extend system capabilities. This position offers hybrid work and a strong focus on impactful, scalable software solutions.

• Manage and mentor the development team
• Develop, test, and maintain the Case Management System
• Design, document, and modify software specifications
• Help define project plans including scope, schedule, and implementation
• Analyze existing business systems and procedures
• Collaborate with network admins, systems analysts, and engineers to resolve issues
• Design and build Bespoke Applications and Portals using Microsoft PowerApps
• Develop and refactor code according to specifications
• Write scripts to enhance functionality/performance
• Design, run and monitor software performance tests for debugging
• Generate reports on programming status for management
• Extend Case Management processes with T-SQL and .NET (C#) to enhance Proclaim
• Test and implement hotfixes/upgrades to the Case Management system
• Regular checks to ensure Task Servers operate and data integrity is maintained

• Ideally 5 years’ experience as a Software Developer
• Experience in managing and leading a team
• Strong understanding of coding methods and best practices
• Experience interviewing end-users for insights on functionality and usability
• Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans
• Knowledge of data privacy practices and laws
• ITIL Foundation/Intermediate certification preferred but not essential
