Senior Developer

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will drive Java-based backend delivery for a high-profile automotive brand. You will craft solution designs, coding standards, and technical specs, while collaborating across PM, QA, Front-End, DevOps, and Architecture to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes. You’ll lead multi-project workstreams in a high-performance environment, applying modern patterns and technologies to deliver scalable solutions. This role offers impact through shaping architecture and delivery at scale.

• Collaborate with PM to create realistic project plans, manage risks, and ensure on-time delivery
• Create solution designs, technical specifications, coding standards, and project docs
• Participate in key technical decisions with cross-functional teams (PM, QA, Front-End, DevOps, Solution Architecture, BAs)
• Allocate team members to tasks and projects in coordination with Operations
• Develop and enforce coding standards and ensure code reviews
• Transfer knowledge and align tech teams with our approach and solutions
• Stay updated on latest technology trends to optimize delivery of solutions

• Java development with 9+ years of commercial experience
• Proven track record on complex technical projects in high-performant environments
• Experience across multiple projects and teams of varying scale
• Experience with Spring Boot, Gradle, Docker, RESTful APIs
• Multi-project experience with tools like Java 17+, Git, Kubernetes, Maven, Jenkins, ActiveMQ
• Understanding of enterprise architecture patterns for solution planning
• Authentication with third-party services and APIs (OAuth2, SAML, API keys)
• Code analysis, debugging, profiling, and refactoring for quality and performance
• Strong knowledge of data stores (MongoDB, DocDB, MySQL, Redis, Supabase)
• Experience with CI/CD workflows, Linux systems, Agile practices
• 4+ years hands-on Spring/Hibernate
• Ability to grasp large, complex architectures and deploy large web apps
• Experience managing and coding across interdependent projects
• Familiarity with project management processes for website/portal development
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
• Experience with task tools like Trac, Jira, TestRail
• Exposure to AWS practices
