The Role

We are looking for an experienced SC Cleared Senior Full Stack Developer to join a public sector project on an initial 3-month FTC.

You will be working within an established delivery team, designing and developing secure, scalable applications and services. The role requires strong hands-on experience across Python, Java and AWS, with the ability to work across the full development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full-stack applications and services.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Python and Java.
• Build and deploy solutions within AWS cloud environments.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and microservices.
• Produce clean, secure and well-tested code.
• Support CI/CD, automated testing and deployment processes.
• Work closely with DevOps, Cloud, Architecture and Delivery teams.
• Contribute to technical design, code reviews and Agile ceremonies.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across applications and integrations.
• Ensure solutions meet security and public sector engineering standards.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Current and active SC Clearance.
• Strong commercial experience as a Senior/Full Stack Developer.
• Strong Python and Java development experience.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience.
• REST APIs and microservices.
• JavaScript/TypeScript with React, Angular or similar.
• SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Git, CI/CD and automated testing.
• Docker/containerisation experience.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.

Desirable

• Previous UK Government/Public Sector experience.
• GDS experience.
• Terraform/CloudFormation.
• Kubernetes.
• Serverless or event-driven AWS architecture.
• Experience working within secure or regulated environments.
