Overview

In this role you will be the technical and community ambassador for Cloudsmith, engaging with open source ecosystems and developers to drive awareness and adoption of our artifact management platform. You will create high-quality technical content, represent Cloudsmith at events, and nurture partnerships across the software supply chain. Your work shapes how developers experience and trust our tools while reinforcing Cloudsmith’s role as developer-centric infrastructure. Responsibilities
  • Build and grow Cloudsmith’s presence in open source communities and developer channels
  • Respond to mentions and topics of interest across social and online communities
  • Represent Cloudsmith at conferences, meetups, and events as attendee and speaker
  • Design and run programs turning engagement into awareness (talks, workshops, Q&As, sponsorships)
  • Nurture relationships with maintainers, influencers, and technical champions
  • Champion partnerships and feedback loops with ecosystem partners
  • Track community health metrics and link to pipeline and brand goals
  • Produce technical content (videos, demos, guides, walkthroughs) for product launches and campaigns
  • Assist incident responses involving public OSS registries
  • Write technical blog posts and documentation; deliver webinars and talks
  • Be a voice for Cloudsmith with media outlets and journalists
  • Highlight OSS projects relevant to Cloudsmith and identify collaboration opportunities
  • Build open source tools, samples, and integrations that support Cloudsmith ecosystem
Key requirements
  • Strong experience with DevOps, package management, CI/CD pipelines, and software supply chain tools
  • Track record of building or growing developer communities
  • Experience engaging with open source communities as contributor or maintainer
  • Ability to produce clear, compelling technical content in multiple formats
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences across engineering, product, and GTM teams
  • Comfortable being a public face of a company (speaking on stage, on camera, at events)
  • Experience supporting partnerships, ecosystems, or technical integrations
  • Existing personal audience in the developer/open source community is a strong plus
