In this role, you will build and maintain high-quality backend software for a global financial data platform. You’ll work as part of a cross-functional team to deliver real-time, low-latency data services on Linux, leveraging cloud infrastructure. You will influence design, implement features, and drive quality through tests and automation. The position targets skilled engineers who thrive in challenging, scalable environments and value collaboration and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on opportunity to help shape a critical data pipeline used by markets worldwide.
Responsibilities- Develop high-quality backend software and documentation
- Provide estimates for feature work
- Prioritize and execute tasks across the software lifecycle
- Create unit tests and automated scripts
- Automate tasks and tooling
- Perform validation and verification testing
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to improve products
- Ensure software stays aligned with current technologies and standards
- Strong hands-on C++ experience (minimum 8 years) on Linux
- Experience developing under Linux (important)
- Ability to collaborate in a team-focused environment
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving passion
- Experience with Docker, AWS
- Knowledge of git concepts, CI/CD, release and branching strategies, and development/release pipelines
