Overview
In this Senior Development Manager role, you will drive development strategies to optimise land use and value for a leading residential developer. You will coordinate the development process, liaising with stakeholders and ensuring consistent portfolio processes. You’ll assess opportunities, prepare business cases, and present value-creation opportunities to senior stakeholders. You work with cross-functional teams to manage risk, deadlines, and commercial outcomes, helping shape high-impact developments.
Responsibilities- Analyse development opportunities to determine appropriate value chain involvement
- Proactively implement and deliver development strategies to maximise land use and value
- Coordinate property activities in the development process and engage internal/external stakeholders
- Report to Head of Development on value creation opportunities and build business cases for stakeholders
- Manage projects with a commercial lens, identify threats and opportunities, and plan workload with risk management and stakeholder communications
- Carry out due diligence and development appraisals to prepare business cases as required
- Member of the RICS
- Proven experience in development-centric roles
- Residential land disposal experience
- Awareness of the planning process and success on projects with planning permission
- Strong verbal and written communication to support interactions with the Board and external parties
- Strong analytical skills with ability to report using business/financial metrics
- Ability to deliver to deadlines with strong planning and prioritisation
- Ability to undertake development appraisals for multi-phase and multi-use projects
