Overview

In this role you will lead complex development projects across the lifecycle from early design to handover. You will work with internal teams and external partners to achieve commercial, programme and quality objectives. The position sits within a growing pipeline of PBSA and hotel schemes, offering scope to shape design, planning, procurement and delivery. You will contribute to sustainable communities and high-quality places, collaborating with funders, operators and authorities. This is a senior, impact-driven role in a long-term, asset-focused business.

Responsibilities
  • Lead projects through design, planning, procurement, construction and handover
  • Appoint and manage professional teams, contractors and consultants
  • Secure planning consent and regulatory approvals with internal teams
  • Manage project programmes, budgets, risks and change control; keep senior stakeholders informed
  • Progress designs through procurement and construction with Projects and Commercial teams
  • Manage relationships with funders, JV partners, planning authorities, operators and contractors
  • Ensure developments meet regulatory, quality and safety requirements
  • Support and develop members of the development team
  • Contribute to Senior Development Team and project reviews with performance reporting
Key requirements
  • Advanced working knowledge of property development or project management across multiple development stages
  • Experience in planning, design, procurement and construction processes
  • Experience managing professional teams, consultants and contractors
  • Knowledge of project budgets, programmes, risk management and change control
  • Understanding of planning, building regulations, industry standards and statutory requirements
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal teams, funders and external stakeholders
  • Degree in construction, engineering, architecture or related discipline
  • Working knowledge of relevant project management systems and tools
  • Experience in PBSA, hotels or large-scale living sectors (desirable)
