Senior Development Manager

Blue Diamond Recruitment are working exclusively with a growing affordable housing business based in Staffordshire as they look to recruit a Senior Development Manager.

Our client is a growing affordable housing business, specialising in brownfield site development and the conversion of existing buildings into high quality affordable homes. Schemes are delivered across the Midlands, with a strong and expanding pipeline of c20-50 units per project. The business has ambitious growth plans, aiming to double turnover over the next five years, and this role offers excellent scope for progression as that growth continues.

As Senior Development Manager, you will play a key role in addressing a current skills gap within the business, bringing strong commercial contracts and procurement experience to the team. You'll be involved in taking sites through the whole development process, from planning through to delivery, working closely with local authorities and managing complex stakeholder groups along the way.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage sites through the full development lifecycle
• Lead on commercial contracts and procurement matters
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with local authorities and other stakeholders
• Navigate complex, multi party stakeholder groups across live schemes
• Contribute to the wider team, bringing your own strengths while drawing on the diverse skill sets of colleagues

About You

• Essential: Housing / residential development experience
• Background in Quantity Surveying or as an Employer's Agent
• Strong commercial contracts and procurement experience
• Sharp and detail focused
• Proactive, ambitious and eager to learn and progress
• Comfortable working collaboratively within a close knit team
