Senior Development Manager

Coleg Gwent is seeking to recruit a Senior Development Surveyor to play a leading role in the development and transformation of its estate portfolio.

Coleg Gwent is one of the largest further education colleges in Wales, serving thousands of learners across multiple campuses. The College is committed to providing outstanding learning environments that support educational excellence, skills development and community engagement. As part of its long-term Estates Strategy, the College is undertaking an ambitious programme of estate renewal and investment, including major campus developments, modernisation projects and estate improvements designed to create inspiring, sustainable and industry-leading learning environments. This includes the delivery of a major new campus for the City of Newport, transformative investment at Crosskeys, and continued capital development across the wider estate portfolio.

Working closely with the Associate Director (Estate Development), the Senior Development Surveyor will lead projects from concept through to completion, providing operational leadership across feasibility, masterplanning, design development, procurement, construction delivery and stakeholder engagement. Personally focusing on the Crosskeys redevelopment, you will work alongside consultants, contractors, local authorities and internal stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered successfully, safely and sustainably, whilst achieving excellent value for money.

We are seeking an individual with a proven track record in the delivery of capital projects, ideally gained through the development of design-led academic, civic, workplace or other complex public buildings. Most importantly, you will combine strong design skills with commercial awareness, excellent stakeholder management abilities and the motivation to contribute to a programme that will leave a legacy across South East Wales.
