In this role you will design and deliver enterprise-grade automation across IBM Z and hybrid platforms, driving modernization of DevOps practices. You will partner with cross-functional teams to implement CI/CD, orchestration, observability, and secure platform automation at scale. Your work supports a large, regulated global environment with a focus on reliability, security, and compliant automation. Responsibilities- Design and deliver enterprise-grade automation solutions for IBM Z and hybrid platforms
- Implement CI/CD integrations and Groovy-based Jenkins pipelines
- Develop orchestration capabilities and observability pipelines
- Ensure compliance verification and secure credential handling across platforms
- Build and optimize secure platform automation across a large-scale estate
- Create dashboards and monitoring through Grafana
- Manage artefact repositories (Nexus or similar) and secret management (HashiCorp Vault)
- Contribute to resilient automation, orchestration, and platform engineering in complex environments
- Python production-grade development experience
- Experience with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) in complex environments
- Git and CI/CD experience, including Jenkins pipelines in Groovy
- PostgreSQL schema/database design experience
- YAML development for automation and IaC
- Grafana dashboards and monitoring/observability implementation
- Nexus or similar artefact repository experience
- HashiCorp Vault and secure secret handling knowledge
- Proven track record of building resilient automation and platform engineering solutions
- IBM Z / zOS experience is highly desirable
