Overview

Senior DevOps Engineer at Trust Payments drives reliable production services in AWS while modernising infrastructure. You’ll work within a collaborative tech team to enhance security, scalability, and compliance for mission-critical systems, including PCI-DSS scope. Responsibilities
  • Maintain and optimize business-critical services in AWS for reliability, scalability, and security
  • Advance internal Platform to support development and deployment of core services
  • Ensure compliance with PCI DSS Level 1 and GDPR
  • Contribute to architectural design and discovery work
  • Identify issues, propose practical solutions, and improve maintainability and performance
  • Resolve operational issues with root-cause analysis and long-term fixes
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident management
  • Engage in code reviews and mentor junior/menor colleagues
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and apply them consistently
  • Design, build, and improve platform functions for internal use
Key requirements
  • AWS services experience (VPC, EC2, ELB, Network Firewall, CloudWatch, RDS, KMS, IAM, S3, Lambda, Route53)
  • Networking knowledge and Linux CLI skills
  • Linux System Administration
  • Shell Scripting
  • Configuration Management
  • IaC tools (Terraform preferred)
  • Version Control
  • SDLC understanding
  • Security knowledge (CIS Benchmarks, AWS Security Hub, OWASP)
  • Monitoring and observability tooling experience
  • Ability to design solutions in AWS Cloud
  • Experience with PCI-DSS, GDPR compliance (ideally PCI-DSS Level 1 audits)
  • Python programming and test-driven development
  • CI/CD familiarity
  • Cloud-native containerization and orchestration experience
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
