Overview

In this role you will design, build and optimize global-scale application platforms, applying expertise in CI/CD, container orchestration, cloud infrastructure and observability. You will shape how Citi engineering teams deliver and monitor production services in a high-impact environment. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to raise reliability, security and engineering standards. This is an autonomous, technically focused role at the heart of Citi’s modern tech stack.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Git, Tekton, and Harness to standardize software delivery
  • Build and manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes and OpenShift with Helm for scalable, production-ready systems
  • Architect and maintain observability with Splunk, Elastic/Kibana, Prometheus and Grafana for real-time health visibility
  • Analyze complex technical problems across apps, processes and delivery pipelines and craft engineering solutions
  • Collaborate with development teams, business users and stakeholders to set operating standards and drive improvements
  • Develop and enforce security across the software delivery lifecycle to meet policies and standards
  • Serve as a technical authority for junior/mid-level engineers, providing guidance and code review
Key requirements
  • 4 to 8 years of experience in software engineering, systems development, or DevOps with delivery in complex environments
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling, Git-based workflows, pipeline configuration, and automated build/deploy processes
  • Practical knowledge of Kubernetes and OpenShift, including Helm chart development and cluster management
  • Linux administration and shell scripting to support automation and operations
  • Experience delivering software projects end-to-end from planning to production deployment
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
