Senior DevOps Engineer Data Platform

Design resilient data infrastructure with Kubernetes and CI/CD as a Senior DevOps Engineer on Scotiabank’s GBM Data Platform in Toronto. Support critical production workloads through automation and reliability.

This senior, production-facing position provides technical leadership for the bank’s GBME Data Platform. You will support regulatory and compliance workloads across GCP, Kubernetes, Kafka, Apache NiFi, Elasticsearch, and Dremio. The work includes onboarding, operational support, platform stability, and on-call participation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and operate scalable, highly available cloud infrastructure
• Guide regulatory data workload onboarding and platform adoption
• Build CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
• Deploy containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Helm charts
• Support incidents, monitoring, failover, and disaster recovery

Requirements:

• Five-plus years in production DevOps or SRE roles
• Production Kafka or Elasticsearch administration experience
• Enterprise Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux administration expertise
• Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, Python, Bash, or Groovy experience
• Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and on-call rotations
