Our client builds a HFT data platform used by financial services firms to process and act on time sensitive market information at speed. The business is growing, engineering is scaling, and there is plenty of opportunity to influence how the platform evolves.
We're looking for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to join a small, experienced engineering team and help build, operate and secure the AWS infrastructure behind a modern financial technology platform.
This isn't a governance or compliance focused security position. It's a hands on engineering role for someone who is equally comfortable working across AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD as they are implementing practical security improvements across cloud infrastructure, containers, pipelines and access controls.
You’ll work closely with the existing Platform Engineer and CISO, helping translate security requirements and findings into practical technical solutions whilst taking broad ownership across the platform.
It's a genuinely varied role within a small team. They need someone who can understand a problem, work out what needs doing and implement it, rather than operating within a narrow infrastructure or security silo.
What you'll be doing
- Building, operating and improving production infrastructure across AWS
- Building and securing Kubernetes environments, including EKS
- Developing and maintaining infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Building and improving GitOps and CI/CD workflows, including ArgoCD
- Improving cloud security across IAM, least privilege, access controls and infrastructure configuration
- Implementing security improvements across CI/CD pipelines, Git repositories, containers and cloud infrastructure
- Working with Wiz to understand cloud security findings, prioritise risk and turn findings
