My client is seeking a Senior Director of ERP & Enterprise Systems to lead the strategy, modernization, and operational performance of its global enterprise applications portfolio. You will be joining a global organization operating in a highly regulated environment, with complex business processes spanning finance, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, supply chain, and distribution. Reporting to the CIO, you will have executive-level responsibility for the enterprise systems roadmap, global application operations, technology partnerships, and the development of a high-performing team driving digital transformation across the business.

Role & Responsibilities

• Define and execute a multi-year enterprise systems strategy and technology roadmap aligned with global business objectives.
• Lead the modernization, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP and related enterprise applications, including legacy Navision platforms.
• Drive global ERP transformation programs, including process harmonization, organizational change management, solution deployment, and post-implementation optimization.
• Ensure the reliability, security, compliance, and performance of enterprise applications supporting critical business functions.
• Establish operational performance metrics and accountability for service quality, user experience, system effectiveness, and business value realization.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and modernize the application portfolio while enabling automation, scalability, and digital innovation.
• Oversee technology governance, risk management, audit findings, cybersecurity considerations, regulatory requirements, and application lifecycle risks.
• Develop and manage operating budgets, capital investment plans, vendor relationships, and resource allocation to maximize business value and cost effectiveness.
• Provide executive oversight of strategic technology partners, managed service providers, software vendors, and systems integrators.
• Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and communicating technology strategy, investment priorities, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead and develop a global Enterprise Systems organization, including application leaders, solution architects, support teams, and external partners.
• Establish workforce strategies, succession planning, and talent development initiatives to build a high-performing, accountable, and customer-focused team.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration between IT, Finance, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and other business functions.
• Champion continuous improvement, adoption of enterprise platforms, and measurable business outcomes across the organization.
• Travel as required to support global projects and business priorities, approximately 30–40%.

Skills & Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience leading enterprise applications, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP and enterprise technology organizations.
• 8+ years of leadership experience managing global technology teams, people leaders, and strategic external partners.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365, enterprise ERP platforms, application ecosystems, and application lifecycle management.
• Proven success leading large-scale global ERP implementations, transformation programs, modernization initiatives, and ongoing operational support.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technology strategies that improve operational performance and enable business transformation.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, system integrations, cloud technologies, and digital platforms.
• Experience managing significant operating and capital budgets, technology investments, and global vendor relationships.
• Proven ability to maintain operational stability and business continuity while delivering complex transformation initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of technology governance, risk management, cybersecurity, audit, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience within life sciences, medical technology, manufacturing, or similarly regulated industries is preferred.
• Demonstrated success building and developing high-performing global teams and leadership organizations.
• Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, including experience presenting technology strategy and investment decisions to executive leadership and steering committees.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• PMP, IT service management, or relevant Microsoft certifications are preferred.
