Senior Distributed Systems Backend Developer

Shape distributed systems with service communication, observability, and performance optimization at Charger Logistics Inc. across North America.

As a senior backend developer, you will help evolve a transport provider’s distributed platform containing over 100 microservices. Your focus includes service-to-service communication, tracing, metrics, logging, and scalable database access. Collaboration with DevOps, QA, and frontend teams supports high availability and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimize service communication to reduce latency and improve throughput
• Implement OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana observability practices
• Develop scalable SQL queries for PostgreSQL systems
• Improve testability and traceability with QA collaboration
• Participate in architecture reviews and microservices best practices

Requirements:

• Seven or more years of backend development experience
• Microservices experience spanning at least two years
• Experience with distributed tracing, metrics, and log aggregation
• Knowledge of resilience patterns including retries and circuit breakers
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in large-scale systems
