Senior Distributed Systems Engineer

Lead distributed systems engineering with Python, Go, and GCP for Achievers’ Data Intelligence services supporting millions of workplace experiences. Work hybrid from Toronto.

This Senior Software Engineer role focuses on complex backend systems, performance, scalability, and fault tolerance. You will shape technical direction while delivering services for analytics, exports, reporting, and AI-powered features. Collaboration spans product, data, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design complex distributed backend systems at scale
• Develop services supporting reporting and actionable insights
• Collaborate on AI-powered data-driven product features
• Ensure data quality, privacy, governance, and compliance
• Research tools and frameworks supporting engineering innovation

Requirements:

• Five or more years in enterprise backend engineering
• Strong systems design and fault-tolerance expertise
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Kafka or Pub/Sub ingestion technologies
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
