Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC seeks a senior software development engineer for Transactional Services. You will build systems supporting large AWS services and critical Amazon.com retail components. The work requires independent execution across multiple priorities, technical analysis, and standard practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop highly available distributed systems software
• Deliver quality features against plans, budgets, and commitments
• Participate in designs, reviews, and implementation
• Mentor engineers and support technical development activities
• Analyze technologies and introduce relevant new technologies

Requirements:

• Five-plus years of professional software development experience
• Five-plus years programming with at least one language
• Five-plus years leading system design or architecture
• Experience mentoring, serving as technical lead, or leading teams
• Four-plus years of highly scalable systems experience preferred

Lead distributed systems engineering for AWS Transactional Services with expertise in scalability, reliability, architecture, and software development.
