Senior Distributed Systems Software Engineer

Build high-throughput distributed systems for Cisco and Splunk with Go or C++ expertise in a hybrid/remote environment. Shape software serving global enterprise customers.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead complex backend projects across requirements, design, development, testing, automation, and deployment. The Edge Processor Team maintains pipelines processing petabytes of customer-edge data. Your work supports real-time observability and security while improving maintainability, diagnosability, and serviceability. You will also guide technical standards and resolve production challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery across the complete software development cycle
• Set technical vision, coding guidelines, and design standards
• Resolve pre-production bottlenecks and production issues
• Conduct product design and code reviews
• Participate in rotating on-call customer issue diagnosis

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical field
• Five-plus years developing backend large-scale distributed systems
• Expert proficiency in Go or C++
• Deep understanding of concurrency models and memory management
• Experience scaling high-volume data processing pipelines
