Senior Embedded Firmware Developer

Develop reliable embedded firmware in C and C++ with Schneider Electric’s Victoria team, supporting advanced power metering solutions and automated testing.

As a Senior Embedded Designer I, you will create firmware features for the ION8700, ION9000, and PM8000 product families. The work spans software development and testing, with Python supporting automated test solutions. You will contribute to evolving meter generations while collaborating with engineers across technical disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and enhance embedded firmware features for power meters
• Write and debug reliable, maintainable C and C++ code
• Develop Python-based automated testing solutions
• Investigate firmware, software, and hardware integration issues
• Participate in design reviews and technical discussions

Requirements:

• Engineering or Computer Science degree, or equivalent experience
• Six to ten years of embedded software experience ideally
• Strong C programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Practical Python scripting or test automation experience
• Understanding of software development and testing practices
