As an Embedded Software Engineer, you design, develop and maintain software for real-time and Linux-based platforms in our mechatronics-driven product range. You’ll contribute to both new development and ongoing maintenance, improving performance and reliability. You join a global R&D team that delivers high‑quality industrial equipment. This role blends hands‑on embedded work with collaboration across software, electronics and product teams to shape next‑generation printers and labelers.

- Design, develop, test and maintain embedded software for real-time and Linux-based platforms, including low-level drivers and hardware interfaces
- Improve performance, reliability and maintainability of existing and future products
- Contribute to New Product Development and maintenance of existing products, including defect fixes and feature additions
- Operate in an Agile development environment with planning, estimation, reviews and continuous improvement
- Create clear technical documentation to support design, testing, release and long-term support
- Take ownership of assigned work with attention to detail and sound engineering judgment
- Strong embedded software design and development experience in C or C++ on real-time or embedded Linux
- Experience with RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS) on Cortex-M microcontrollers
- Experience with embedded Linux layers: kernel, drivers, bootloaders, user-space
- Experience with WinCE embedded systems
- Familiarity with build toolchains (GCC, Make, CMake, Buildroot)
- Problem-solving and debugging skills with tools like Trace32 or GDB
- Experience with development tools (Visual Studio, Eclipse, Git, GitHub, Jira)
- Openness to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude)
- Good communication and cross-team collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/Software/Electrical/Electronics or related field
