Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer, Onboard Test Automation

You will validate onboard software across embedded compute platforms before full-vehicle testing. You’ll work with multiple systems to ensure reliability and speed up iteration, building automated tests that empower developers. Your work helps scale testing and improves software quality for real-world deployment. • Design, develop, and execute automated tests for onboard software subsystems
• Validate software behavior on embedded hardware within hardware-in-the-loop environments
• Collaborate with software engineers to identify and cover test gaps
• Debug and triage system-level issues across software and hardware boundaries
• Contribute to CI pipelines and reusable test frameworks to enable self-service testing
• Expand test coverage by reusing validation tests and accelerating them earlier in the cycle

• Experience testing embedded software systems on Linux or QNX-based platforms
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or similar for test development and automation
• Experience with embedded hardware platforms and software/hardware interaction
• Proven ability to debug and triage complex issues across system layers
• Understanding of software testing principles, including automation, integration testing, and system validation
