Senior Embedded Test Automation Developer

Build Python test automation for Ford vehicle software, validating embedded platforms through stress, soak, and endurance testing. This hybrid role requires onsite work four or more days weekly.

As a Test Developer on Ford of Canada’s ECG test team, you will support vehicle software platforms for latest vehicle technologies. The work includes analyzing requirements, developing test tools, designing test plans, and validating robustness. You will collaborate across development and test teams while contributing to agile scrum sprints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze product requirements and testing needs
• Develop Python stress, soak, and stability frameworks
• Design tests for performance and resource utilization
• Triage failures, crashes, and performance degradation
• Maintain automated test suite execution

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Five-plus years developing test automation and tools
• Three-plus years developing Python with object-oriented design
• Three-plus years testing embedded systems
• Availability onsite four or more days weekly
