In this role, you will help integrate cloud-based collaboration into Unreal Editor workflows as part of Unreal Cloud Services, supporting the evolution toward UE6. You will work at the intersection of editor and cloud, shaping distributed collaboration, versioning, and scalable editor experiences. You collaborate with Product and UX to translate ideas into polished editor features and partner with backend teams to extend cloud services. This is a hands-on engineering role that leverages modern development practices to improve implementation and iteration, offering meaningful impact on creator experiences.

- Build Unreal Editor features that bring cloud-based collaboration into everyday creator workflows
- Implement responsive editor experiences that interact with asynchronous and distributed services
- Collaborate across editor, networking, storage, revision control, and UX systems to enable cloud-backed workflows
- Partner with Product and UX to translate ideas into practical editor experiences
- Collaborate with backend and infrastructure engineers on features spanning editor and cloud services
- Use modern development practices, including AI-assisted programming, to improve implementation, debugging, and iteration
- Strong C++ skills and experience in a large native codebase
- Experience building user-facing tools and complex editor features
- Experience building clients that interact with asynchronous or networked services
- Strong understanding of parallelism, networking, latency, and failure handling
- Strong eye for user experience and how technical behavior affects creator workflows
- Experience working with Product, UX, and engineering teams to ship features
- Experience with Unreal Engine, another game engine, or comparable tools development
- Experience with Rust is a plus
