As a Senior Engineer in Murphy’s Energy Team, you will help drive best practices in safety, quality, and environmental standards while supporting the SSE ASTI Framework. You’ll contribute to on-site planning, temporary works, and coordination across client, design, and supply chain teams to keep programmes on track. You will ensure drawings, specs, and risk controls meet project needs and you’ll document progress and changes daily. This role offers impact across major energy projects and continued development within a leading, safety‑driven contractor.

- Assist with temporary works design schemes
- Maintain client/designer/supply chain relationships
- Advise engineers on setting out methods
- Ensure drawings/specifications are complete and accurate for construction
- Request missing information promptly to keep programmes on track
- Coordinate with foremen to ensure understanding of information
- Oversee selection of materials and plant for construction
- Prepare risk assessments and method statements
- Maintain a detailed daily site diary with changes, attendance, and discussions
- Ensure inspection and test plans (ITPs) are completed per PMP/Specification
- Verify dimension accuracy and quality through checks
- Experience in Construction or Civil Engineering projects
- Experience with ITPs, RAMs and Temporary Works
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering legislation and Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
- Ability to discuss engineering issues across levels and disciplines
- Ability to develop and manage safe systems of work for construction procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
