As a Senior Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of residential infrastructure, from concept to site handover. You’ll work within the Technical Team in Reading to ensure high-quality, compliant solutions that meet adoption standards. Your impact spans from design coordination to on-site problem solving, helping shape new communities. Responsibilities
  • Manage design of roads, drainage and infrastructure for new housing sites
  • Secure technical approvals (Section 38, 104, 278)
  • Liaise with consultants, authorities, and internal teams
  • Provide clear technical guidance during construction
  • Ensure cost-effective, compliant and sustainable designs
  • Oversee projects from drawing board to finished site
Key requirements
  • Civil Engineering degree
  • Chartered status with ICE or working towards it
  • Proven experience in residential infrastructure design
  • Strong knowledge of adoption procedures and technical approvals
  • Skills in AutoCAD and MicroDrainage (or similar)
