In this Senior Civil Engineer role, you will lead flood risk and drainage design for development projects, collaborating with project managers to meet client needs. You will develop technical highway and drainage solutions and produce key reports while ensuring compliance with standards. The position emphasizes using specialized software and contributing to technical decisions across projects. You join a hybrid, client-facing team focused on delivering robust infrastructure outcomes.

- Produce Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategy reports and technical notes
- Develop highway and drainage designs to support S104, S38 and S278 processes
- Liaise with Clients and Project Managers to coordinate projects and report progress
- Check outputs produced by junior staff and supervise where needed
- Prepare and present technical information to internal and external groups
- Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and best practices
- Manage projects with moderate supervision to deliver high-quality results
- Explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related subject
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in UK development related infrastructure engineering
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams; Power BI and Access is a plus)
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civils 3D
- Full UK driving license
- Knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, Sewers for Adoption, local road standards, and national policy
- Experience in writing flood risk assessments and/or drainage strategies for development projects
