Senior Engineer

Senior Engineer role to support TfL-era refurbishment of key London highway structures, including Gallows Corner. You'll lead sections of work, coordinate with site teams, and manage logistics in a constrained urban setting. The project is high-profile, with a full shutdown of a major interchange, offering exposure to complex civil engineering within a capital investment programme. You will work with cross-functional stakeholders and adapt to rotating night shifts and weekend work to meet deadlines. • Assist in planning and execution of structural refurbishment on large-scale transport infrastructure
• Lead sections of work and supervise junior staff and contractors to ensure safety, timing, and specification
• Coordinate with site management and stakeholders to optimise resource use
• Address logistical and traffic-related challenges in a constrained urban environment
• Participate in rotational shifts including nights and weekends to meet deadlines during embargoes

• Experience on highway structure or structural refurbishment projects
• Degree in civil engineering or equivalent (or working towards ICE membership)
• Full/technical professional status would be expected
• Onc/HND equivalent in civil engineering also acceptable
• Experience coordinating teams and liaising with stakeholders in a timetable-driven project
