Senior Engineer

In this role you drive the design and verification of switch mode power supplies within Advanced Energy’s engineering team. You will translate customer needs into robust hardware solutions, perform DHV and simulations, and ensure BOM quality and test documentation. You’ll collaborate across design reviews and support groups to deliver reliable power solutions for diverse industries. This role offers impact through advanced power tech and cross-functional collaboration.

• Design, qualify and develop Switch Mode Power Supplies
• Conceptualize design, generate schematics, and manage mechanical packaging and PCB layout
• Breadboard, tune, power-up and verify specifications
• Perform Design Verification Testing (DVT) and circuit simulations with tolerance analysis
• Generate BOM with cost and quality focus and ensure part qualification
• Conduct failure analysis on switch mode power supplies
• Create accurate test reports and controlled documents
• Coordinate with support group on project deliverables; participate in design reviews

• Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering
• 8+ years experience in Switch Mode Power Supply design
• Strong circuit operation knowledge and failure analysis
• Proficiency with circuit simulations and product development tools
