Salary: Long-Term Freelance - Competitive Rate / CIS (Potential Ltd Company Payment)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Engineer/Sub Agent with a strong Civil Engineering background to join a Main Contractor delivering a major energy in Hartlepool.

This is a long-term opportunity, offering up to 5 years of work with the potential for an ongoing requirement beyond the initial project. The successful candidate will support the project delivery team, with a particular focus on civil engineering, coordination and QA/QC .

The role is predominantly office-based , working closely with the project and site management teams. Further work is expected to follow in Chesterfield and Sheffield , providing an excellent long-term pipeline.

Key Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Previous experience as a Sub Agent, Assistant Sub Agent, Site Engineer or similar
• Strong civil engineering background
• Experience working for a Main Contractor
• Good understanding of QA/QC processes and documentation
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a project delivery team
• BESS, energy, infrastructure or major civil engineering experience would be advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the delivery of civil engineering works
• Coordinating with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and site teams
• Assisting with planning and monitoring project works
