We're supporting an engineering business delivering bespoke solutions for complex technical challenges across highly regulated and demanding industries. The team is looking to appoint a Senior Engineer. Alongside delivering your own complex engineering projects, you'll play an important role in shaping engineering standards, leading project teams and supporting the development of engineers across the business.

Have you designed and delivered complete systems or equipment from initial concept through to deployment?

Have you led multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinated the work of other engineers?

Can you review, challenge and approve engineering designs, calculations and technical documentation?

Have you acted as the technical authority or lead engineer on complex projects?

Are you comfortable making critical engineering decisions and taking responsibility for project outcomes?

Can you mentor and develop less experienced engineers, helping raise standards across a wider team?

Have you managed client relationships and confidently represented engineering decisions to stakeholders?

Can you balance technical excellence, commercial awareness and project delivery requirements?

Responsibilities will include:

• Leading engineering projects from concept through delivery
• Providing technical oversight and direction to project teams
• Reviewing and approving engineering designs, calculations and reports
• Coordinating engineers and technical resources across projects
• Managing technical risk and ensuring quality standards are maintained
• Supporting customer engagement and technical discussions
• Mentoring and developing engineers within the team
• Driving continuous improvement and engineering best practice

What We're Looking For

• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer (Chartership desirable)
• Significant experience leading complex engineering projects
• Demonstrable experience managing or leading engineering teams
• Strong background across the full engineering lifecycle
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong stakeholder and client-facing capability
• A passion for developing people and raising engineering standards
