Senior Engineer

In this role you will lead on-site engineering delivery for a varied portfolio of rail, civil and infrastructure projects across Scotland. You will work closely with site management and design teams to ensure works are safe, efficient and meet quality standards. You will provide technical guidance, manage setting-out activities, and mentor junior engineers, helping to resolve engineering issues quickly. • Manage and coordinate all on-site engineering and setting-out activities to ensure alignment with drawings, specifications and project requirements
• Provide technical guidance and support to Site Engineers and the site team
• Oversee setting-out, levelling, surveying and dimensional control tasks
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor quality assurance; ensure inspections, records and site documentation meet project procedures
• Coordinate with Site Managers, Project Managers, subcontractors and design teams to maintain progress and safe, efficient delivery

• Proven experience as Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer in civil, rail, infrastructure or similar construction environments
• Strong technical knowledge of setting-out, surveying, construction methods and interpreting drawings
• Experience mentoring junior engineering staff or providing engineering support
• Good understanding of health and safety, quality assurance and site procedures
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
