Senior Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior Engineer to join a growing civil and structural engineering team supporting projects across the nuclear, energy, water, transport and oil and gas sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead small projects and technical work packages with minimal supervision
- Prepare feasibility studies, reference designs and detailed design solutions for civil and structural works
- Produce design analysis, calculations, specifications, technical reports and related documentation
- Carry out structural condition surveys and provide clear findings and recommendations
- Communicate designs effectively to BIM teams and coordinate with other engineering disciplines
- Work closely with construction teams to support safe and effective project delivery
- Communicate confidently with clients and contribute to technical proposals
- Identify and deliver value engineering solutions while supporting and guiding junior team members
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in civil and structural engineering design
- Experience working on nuclear, energy, infrastructure or other highly regulated engineering projects
- Proven experience of structural condition surveys
- Strong understanding of civil and structural design principles, analysis and calculations
- Ability to prepare technical specifications, reports and design documentation
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience of communicating designs to BIM teams and working collaboratively with construction personnel
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight at client sites across the North West and North Wales
