Senior Engineer, Accounting Infrastructure and Systems

In this role you will lead the Engineering team responsible for scalable accounting systems, data pipelines, and integrations that power financial reporting and compliance at DoorDash. You’ll partner with Finance, Accounting and cross-functional teams to transform regulatory needs into auditable, automated platforms. You will mentor engineers, set technical direction, and drive the roadmap for the accounting tech stack. You enable faster close cycles and audit readiness by improving data accuracy and system scalability. This is a hands-on leadership role at a high-growth, fintech-adjacent company with a strong focus on financial controls and automation.

• Own the strategic roadmap and execution for accounting infrastructure, data pipelines, system integrations, and automation platforms powering financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance at scale
• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance and cross-functional engineering teams to translate regulatory and operational requirements into reliable, auditable backend systems
• Lead and mentor engineers, setting technical direction and fostering a high-performance culture in a fast-moving financial environment
• Drive improvements in data accuracy, pipeline reliability, and system scalability to enable faster close cycles and audit readiness

• 7+ years in data or software engineering
• 2+ years leading engineering teams
• Experience in fintech, marketplace, or high-growth tech environments
• Hands-on experience with modern data infrastructure tools (Fivetran, dbt Cloud, Snowflake, Workato)
• Strong knowledge of financial processes (revenue recognition, reconciliation, close workflows)
• Clear communicator capable of aligning Finance, Accounting, Compliance, and Engineering stakeholders
• Distributed systems, data quality frameworks, and SOX-relevant controls are a strong plus
