Overview

In this Senior Software Engineer role, you will develop and maintain the AML platform to support real-time sanctions screening and transaction monitoring in a regulated, high-availability environment. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, owning features from discovery through delivery. The position emphasizes reliability, auditability, and collaboration within a FinCrime-focused team. This is an opportunity to shape scalable compliance software at a global fintech leader.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain AML platform services with a focus on real-time, low-latency operations
  • Design and implement event-driven components (Kafka/SNS/SQS) and RFC-based collaboration
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and act as technical escalation for compliance issues
  • Drive product initiatives from discovery to delivery with product and compliance teams
  • Own the products you build, including ongoing maintenance in a regulated environment
Key requirements
  • Extensive experience building complex software in high-volume, low-latency settings
  • Strong Python skills with solid OOP fundamentals
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka
  • Proficiency in APIs, observability (logging, metrics, alerting), and external system integration
  • Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins/GHA) and Terraform, with ability to contribute to these pipelines
  • Resilience-focused design for fault-tolerant, high-availability systems
