Senior Engineering Manager (Data Platform & Analytics Engineering)

As Engineering Manager, you lead the Data Platform and Analytics Engineering teams to deliver robust data pipelines, models and governance. You’ll partner with the Head of Data Science & Product to shape the data estate and architectural decisions for an international, cloud-based platform. You’ll influence product and data strategy while ensuring secure, compliant, and high-quality data delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role at the core of Kaluza’s data-driven transformation and decarbonisation efforts.

• Lead Data Platform and Analytics Engineering teams
• Scope and lead data engineering projects across the platform
• Drive design and building of new data models and production pipelines
• Align with data leads to improve collaboration and ways of working
• Own security, risk, compliance, and incidents for the Data Platform
• Ensure Agile delivery and continuous improvement of quality and velocity
• Collaborate with product management to prioritise work based on business impact

• Experience leading data-oriented teams of engineers
• Significant experience in data and analytics engineering
• Experience designing data pipelines and data architectural decisions
• Strong data governance, master data management and data quality skills
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proficiency with modern analytics stack (SQL, GitHub, Python, BI tools) and cloud services (AWS or GCP)
• Hands-on with data orchestration tools (dbt or dataform) and Databricks
• Practical knowledge of Kimball dimensional modeling
