Senior Engineering Team Lead - Analytics Platform

As Engineering Lead for the Data Lakehouse Platform, you will guide multiple teams building scalable data and analytics capabilities that power Wise's products and decision-making. You’ll ensure high availability, security, observability, and efficient governance of a petabyte-scale data ecosystem. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams, vendors, and platform tribes to accelerate delivery while maintaining reliability and regulatory compliance. This role offers impact across engineering leadership and strategic platform initiatives that drive growth.

• Starting salary: 135,000 - 175,000 + RSUs

• Lead and grow engineering leads and senior engineers across the data platform teams
• Define and drive the建 platform roadmap, aligning with business goals and regulatory requirements
• Ensure observability, service management, reliability, and security for cloud-based services
• Promote automation, reusable design, and scalable solutions across the platform
• Own vendor discussions and cost explanations to the business
• Mentor teams, foster feedback culture, and collaborate with product teams to deliver production-grade solutions
• Balance agile and traditional delivery methods to ship complex data and ML/AI capabilities
• Champion privacy, security, and compliance in infrastructure and application design

• Solid engineering background with production-ready solutions
• Proven experience leading and growing engineering teams including junior leaders
• Strong communication skills; ability to tailor messaging to internal users and leadership
• Self-starter, collaborative, and capable of solving problems from scratch
• Experience with security and privacy principles (least privilege) in infra and apps
• High coding standards, test coverage, and scalable, clean code
• Experience deploying microservices to cloud-based systems
• Experience designing distributed and concurrent systems with stateful/stateless and synchronous/asynchronous tradeoffs
• Experience working with product teams to bring ideas into production
• Awareness of latest industry trends and customer-centric decision making
