Overview

As a Senior Enterprise Architect, you will shape target architectures for HSBC's Credit and Capital Management transformation. You will translate business capabilities into functional components and drive roadmaps with solution and technical leads. You’ll operate in a complex environment, modernising platforms with open architecture, APIs, microservices, data/ML capabilities and cloud where appropriate to support Commercial Banking growth. You’ll lead across governance, compliance and risk while partnering with cross-functional teams to realise early benefits. Responsibilities
  • Develop understanding of current and target business functions, processes, and assets
  • Analyze how existing systems enable capabilities, focusing on problem areas
  • Collaborate with Business Architects to translate capabilities into components and boundaries
  • Lead the technical realization of components and map to UI, processing, data, and messaging designs with Solution and Technical Leads
  • Engage vendors to assess suitability of components
  • Define implementation/adoption roadmaps in collaboration with business and programme management
  • Provide business knowledge to architecture and engineering teams, and legacy systems knowledge to architects
  • Demonstrate leadership on Regulatory & Compliance and support risk identification, mitigation, control and reporting
Key requirements
  • Proficient enterprise/solution architecture with fit-for-purpose designs
  • Ability to build high-level proposals and articulate pros/cons in business terms
  • Skill in translating requirements into functional components and architecture
  • Strong communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with agile methods in complex environments
  • Experience designing/implementing scalable, highly available cloud services (GCP/Azure)
  • Breadth across modern and legacy stacks (Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, API gateways, REST, Kafka, React)
  • Familiarity with large-scale analytics/AI/ML transformation
