Overview

As Senior Enterprise Systems Manager, you own the governance, stability and ongoing improvement of Mace’s enterprise finance platforms, with a focus on IBM Cognos TM1. You lead an outsourced support team to meet SLAs and security, working across Finance, Digital Services and partners to deliver reliable financial reporting and planning. You will drive continuous service improvement, secure financial data, and enable effective transitions of new functionality into BAU. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on management in a complex, project-based environment.

Responsibilities
  • Own and govern support for enterprise finance systems and integrations
  • Ensure security, stability, compliance and business fit of enterprise systems
  • Define and improve support processes and service standards
  • Drive service excellence via monitoring, reporting and continual improvement
  • Support month-end and year-end financial activities within timescales
  • Maintain ownership of IBM Cognos TM1 and related reporting/planning services
  • Direct day-to-day delivery through a strategic outsourced partner
  • Manage incidents, problems, changes and releases per ITIL processes
  • Track service performance with KPIs/SLAs and handle major incidents
  • Keep support documentation and procedures current
  • Act as Digital Services contact for Finance Systems
  • Translate finance requirements into support/enhancement work
  • Support audit requirements and regulatory controls
  • Ensure data integrity and smooth interfaces across applications
  • Facilitate transition of new functionality to business-as-usual
  • Oversee governance with vendors and outsourced providers
  • Lead supplier performance reviews and escalation processes
  • Drive continuous improvement with suppliers
  • Support commercial and contract management relating to enterprise services
  • Ensure compliance with Digital, Security, Audit and regulatory requirements
  • Provide leadership to outsourced/virtual teams and foster a culture of accountability
  • Identify automation opportunities and contribute to strategy and maturity initiatives
Key requirements
  • Strong experience supporting financial reporting including consolidation and resource planning
  • Understanding of key finance accounting and reporting disciplines
  • Experience managing outsourced application support and third-party suppliers
  • Knowledge of IBM Cognos and TM1 or equivalent financial planning platforms
  • Understanding of system integrations, data flows and interfaces across enterprise apps
  • Familiarity with ITIL disciplines (Incident, Problem, Change, Release)
  • Experience supporting financial controls, audits and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to analyse complex business/technical issues and drive outcomes
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud, finance transformation programmes or migrations
  • Experience in construction, consultancy or project-based organisations
  • Knowledge of financial reporting, planning and management accounting processes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication
  • Strong business partnering across Finance, Technology and Operations
