Senior Environmental Data Engineer

Build environmental data systems with SLR Consulting using C#, .NET, Azure, and EQuIS while supporting scalable client solutions. This senior role focuses on technical delivery.

As a Senior Environmental Data Engineer, you will develop tools, reports, and workflows for environmental data management. You will work with clients and project teams while designing ETL pipelines, REST APIs, and Azure services. The work includes improving engineering practices through testing, reviews, documentation, and CI/CD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build custom tools, reports, and EQuIS-integrated workflows
• Design ETL pipelines for lab, field, and logger data
• Develop secure REST APIs connecting EQuIS with other systems
• Write and optimize T-SQL for Azure SQL and SQL Server
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain Azure cloud services

Requirements:

• 10+ years of environmental data management experience
• 5+ years developing professionally with C# and modern .NET
• Strong SQL Server, Azure SQL, and T-SQL proficiency
• Experience with secure REST APIs, ETL, and Azure deployments
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or Sciences preferred
