Overview

In this role you will support the migration of data into Microsoft Fabric and strengthen data management within a SQL Server BI environment. You will work on cloud-enabled data platforms, primarily Azure, to enable Fabric-based solutions and ongoing data exploitation. You’ll help lift data quality and standards as legacy systems are migrated to a modern Fabric-enabled architecture. This is a hybrid role with in-office days in Leeds, offering training and internal growth opportunities within a reputable employer. You will collaborate across teams to deliver measurable data-focused value.

Responsibilities
  • Migrate data into Microsoft Fabric from legacy SQL/Power BI environments
  • Maintain and optimize SQL Server-based BI environments
  • Leverage Azure cloud services (ADF or Databricks) to support Fabric migrations
  • Implement and exploit Fabric functionality in the data platform
  • Improve data quality and standardization across the data landscape
  • Support ongoing data management initiatives and value delivery
Key requirements
  • Experience migrating data to Microsoft Fabric
  • Strong SQL Server BI background
  • Cloud data platform experience, preferably Azure
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and/or Databricks a plus
  • Proven track record of migrating legacy SQL and Power BI environments to Fabric
  • Hybrid work capability (Leeds office)
