Senior Finance Manager – Northampton - £80,000 – £90,000 + Benefits - Clear Progression Path

Morgan McKinley is partnering with a global business to appoint a Financial Controller.

This role will suit a qualified accountant who has already made a successful move into industry and is now seeking broader responsibility, greater visibility and a defined path toward senior leadership.

The Opportunity

Reporting to an experienced and supportive Finance Director, you will play a key role in strengthening the finance function while continuing to develop your commercial and leadership capability.

The position offers real ownership, but within a collaborative environment where you can refine your skills and build toward a future Finance Director role.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing statutory accounts production and managing the year-end audit process
• Enhancing existing controls and embedding best practice
• Supporting and improving the monthly management accounts process (actuals, budget and forecast)
• Developing reporting to provide clearer insight to senior stakeholders
• Contributing to finance systems improvements
• Supporting the development of junior team members

About You

We are keen to speak with “practice trained” qualified accountants who:

• Have trained in practice (Big 4, Top 10 or reputable independent firm)
• Have gained industry exposure in a technical role
• Are confident in statutory reporting and leading audits
• Want to broaden their remit in business and leadership

This role is ideal for someone ready to step into a broader, more visible position - but who values mentorship and structured progression.
