Senior Financial Analyst

Our client, a well-established organization located in the heart of Mississauga , is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst for an initial 6-month contract, with the potential to convert to a permanent position .

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the successful candidate will support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities , including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and financial statement preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting activities
• Prepare journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations
• Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting
• Analyze financial information and support accounting-related projects
• Work within a high-volume, transaction-driven environment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close
• Proven experience with journal entries, reconciliations, accruals and financial statements
• Experience working in a mid-to-large-sized organization with high transaction volumes
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
• Proactive, motivated and results-oriented
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables ; Macros are an asset
