Build advanced analytics with Wealthsimple using SQL and Python for finance, brokerage, and market risk data. This is a hybrid team.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will support financial planning, treasury operations, liquidity management, and brokerage risk assessment. You will develop reliable data marts, pipelines, reporting systems, dashboards, and scalable analytics solutions. The work supports products including margin trading and options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain finance and market risk data marts
  • Build documented pipelines for financial metrics
  • Automate brokerage reporting and monitoring systems
  • Create dashboards for brokerage KPIs and regulatory reporting
  • Mentor junior team members and participate in code reviews

Requirements:

  • Five or more years in data engineering or analytics development
  • Strong SQL and Python proficiency
  • Experience with dbt, Airflow, or similar tools
  • Working knowledge of AWS, S3, Redshift, or Snowflake
  • Git, visualization, and analytics engineering experience
