Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Lead financial reporting and analysis as a Senior Accountant at East Penn Canada’s Courtice head office, working 100% in-office.

This senior accounting role supports accurate, timely, and compliant reporting across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles. You will work with the Controller and cross-functional teams on controls, audits, compliance reporting, and continuous improvement. The position suits an analytical professional with strong technical accounting expertise and careful attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial analyses
• Investigate variances and provide meaningful business commentary
• Coordinate external and government audits with supporting working papers
• Improve accounting procedures, controls, and documented best practices

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• CPA designation required or currently pursuing
• Five-plus years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong financial reporting and accounting controls knowledge
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and major ERP experience
