Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Lead IFRS financial reporting at Gibson Energy's Calgary Head Office, using consolidation expertise and technical accounting judgment in a full-time permanent role.

As a Senior Accountant in Financial Reporting, you will prepare compliant quarterly and annual information for a publicly traded environment. The position covers consolidated statements, disclosures, MD&A, and Audit Committee materials. You will also collaborate with auditors and stakeholders across Finance, FP&A, Tax, and Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and notes
• Research complex IFRS issues and prepare technical memoranda
• Coordinate external auditor requests through resolution
• Complete intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation
• Maintain Workiva documents, schedules, and validation checks

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA designation and 5-8+ years of accounting experience
• Financial reporting experience in a publicly traded environment
• Strong IFRS, Excel, analytical, and communication skills
• Experience with ERP systems and consolidation tools
