Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, Financial Reporting, this Senior Accountant delivers financial solutions and maintains accounting records. The position supports financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and accounting team development. It also contributes to strategic initiatives and client services across Blackstone.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for senior management
• Reconcile prepaid accounts and post month-end journal entries
• Record fixed asset purchases, disposals, and depreciation
• Prepare banking and auditor reconciliation reports
• Review records for accuracy and Canadian GAAP compliance

Requirements:

• Degree in business or a related field
• CPA designation or near completion under Canadian GAAP
• Three or more years of related experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting
