Senior Fixed Assets Financial Analyst

Lead fixed asset accounting in downtown Toronto, applying IAS 16 and IFRS 16 within a hybrid financial reporting team. Build ownership across capital activity.

This newly created permanent Senior Financial Analyst, Fixed Assets role sits within the Financial Reporting team. You will own the area end to end for a well-established Canadian transportation organization. The work includes capitalization, depreciation, reconciliations, capital projects, and close support. Over time, responsibilities expand into broader reporting, MD&A, and technical accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own fixed asset sub-ledger activity from capitalization through disposal
• Manage capital project accounting and timely asset capitalization
• Reconcile operational asset data with sub-ledger records
• Prepare PP&E entries, reconciliations, and close schedules
• Apply IAS 16 and IFRS 16 to transactions

Requirements:

• CPA designation or nearing completion
• Three or more years of financial reporting experience
• Full cycle month-end close experience
• Hands-on fixed asset and capital accounting experience
• Ability to work without a set playbook
