Senior FPGA Developer

🚀 FPGA Engineer | Hampshire | Up to £75,000 (more available for outstanding candidates)

Are you an FPGA Engineer looking to work on technically challenging projects where your expertise is genuinely central to the technology?

We’re working with a leading technology and engineering organisation that is expanding its highly skilled multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on advanced digital hardware and embedded systems, taking designs from initial architecture through to real-world hardware .

The Role

You’ll be involved across the FPGA development lifecycle, working on sophisticated systems and solving complex engineering challenges.

Your experience could include:

• FPGA architecture and digital design
• VHDL and/or Verilog development
• FPGA simulation, verification and hardware testing
• High-speed digital interfaces and reusable IP
• Timing closure, optimisation and resource utilisation
• Embedded processing and real-time data handling
• DSP, signal and sensor processing
• System integration, debugging and laboratory testing
• FPGA/SoC platforms, including Xilinx Zynq

🧠 What We're Looking For

You don't need experience in every area . We’re interested in FPGA Engineers with strong core skills who are keen to broaden their experience and work on technically interesting systems.

You’ll ideally have:

• Commercial FPGA development experience
• Strong VHDL and/or Verilog skills
• Experience across some or all of the FPGA development lifecycle
• A good understanding of digital design, FPGA architecture and verification
• Experience with tools such as Vivado, Quartus, ModelSim or QuestaSim

Experience with SoC platforms, high-speed interfaces, DSP, MATLAB, Python/Tcl, MBSE or safety-critical systems would be advantageous.

We’re also open to engineers from a variety of technical backgrounds, including defence, aerospace, automotive, communications, industrial, semiconductor and other technology-led industries .

• Salary up to £75,000 depending on experience
